The Alum Bank Fire Company is an all-volunteer fire company supplying emergency protection to a small area of rural Bedford County Pennsylvania. They are also the host of the annual Alum Bank Classic Weekend Weekend, every July, full of fun and food, truck and tractor pulls, car show, a burnout contest, cruise in, music, carnival rides, tractor show, old cars and equipment, garden tractor pulls, chicken bbq, pig roast, and much, much more. Free admission.

Fort Bedford was built by the British as part of their fortified supply road, Forbes Trail. The road was the instrument that helped the British eradicate the French presence at Fort Duquesne. The fort was a protector of that road. The museum was constructed near the site of the 1758 fort. Fort Bedford Museum is located in downtown Bedford, 110 Fort Bedford Drive. Admission charged. The new Huntingdon and Broad Top Rail Trail, which reuses a former railroad right-of-way to provide public recreational along the Raystown Branch of the Juniata River, is now complete! The H&BT Rail Trail is open to hikers and bikers with 10.6 miles of trail open between Riddlesburg at the north end and Tatesville at the south.
