Race The Blue Knob Face to benefit the Blue Knob Ski Patrol at Blue Knob All Seasons Resort - Trail runners and hikers...enter our Saturday, May 23rd trail event "Race The Blue Knob Face" to benefit the Blue Knob Ski Patrol! Over 2000 feet of elevation changes and about 1200 feet of climbing! Approximately 3.75 miles in length. Initial registration is $25 through February 23rd with additional increases to follow. Race day registration will be $40. Course description: Starting at the Blue Knob Clubhouse Bar & Grille, runners will head out Old Ridge Road/Condo Road to the top of Stembogan. The course will wind down Stembogan Trail and Stembogan Field to the bottom of the mountain. At the bottom, runners will head up Lower High Hopes to Deer Run. Runners will run down Deer Run then head up Jack Rabbit. At the top of Jack Rabbit, runners will go to the top of Upper Mambo Alley and then run down that slope to the East Wall Traverse. Byrne & Kelly Benefit Concert for the Bedford County Chamber Foundation - Woodhaven B&B and Event Venue, Schellsburg.   The amazing Neil Byrne and Ryan Kelly of Celtic Thunder fame return to Bedford County for a 2020 concert to benefit the 501-c3 Bedford County Chamber (Educaiton) Foundation. Woodhaven B&B and Event Venue will host the concert on the lawn outside their newly-renovated historic barn (in the event of rain, the concert will take place inside the barn.) Woohaven is located on Mill Road in Schellsburg, just 9 miles from downtown Bedford. Gates open for a pre-concert Meet & Greet (space ins limited; ticket required) at 5:30pm. Barn Star Drawing - Barn Star drawing instructions return to the Everett Railroad and Community Museum on July llth at 12:30 p.m.  Pre-registration not required but can be done by calling Barbara Hummel at 8l4 652-9l74. There is no charge to participate but the instructor asks each participant to bring a pencil, ruler and a good eraser.  Three sizes of boards will be available 8", 9", and 12" squares.   Barn star samples will be available for study in deciding which to draw and painting at home will be discussed.  Most popular are the 9 x9 Ohio and the Eastern Stars.
